Floorplay

Level 1 · Green package · Every Wednesday

In Level 1, Floorplay, you will learn a multitude of exercises and play approaches to rope thatdecentralize the TK (Takatekote) as the ultimate goal. Adaptations are key to an enjoyable rope experience, and we provide those tools through a dedicated weekly curriculum. Over the course of 9 classes, students will continuously deepen their understanding of the ties taught and eventually learn all the steps and components to basic harnesses. Once a certain level of expertise is achieved, they can take an intermediary class for uplines, a prerequisite for Level 2, if they wish to start suspending their partner within our classes. These classes are fully bilingual or in a language that everyone understands.

The nine classes are a cycle. Every class stands on its own, so you can start anywhere: begin at class 3 and you finish at class 2.

Requirements

Tying partner has completed Fundamentals or validated their knowledge with one of our teachers. Minimum of four ropes.

YOU DON'T NEED TO COME WITH THE SAME PERSON FOR EVERY CLASS, BUT YOU DO NEED A TYING PARTNER.

Moving on to Level 2

To progress to the next level, you must demonstrate a solid understanding of the tools presented in our Floorplay courses. The length of time it takes to achieve this may vary from person to person. It's completely normal to revisit the same course work, and naturally, the more you practice, the faster your progress will be. We may talk to you to let you know we think you are ready to advance or feel free to check in with us to know what we think your next steps should be.
