Refund policy
At TensionMTL, we strive to provide clear and fair guidelines for refunds.
Please understand that we are NOT Amazon and very much a small business trying to share our passions. You would not call to get a refund for sports or concert tickets so please consider this before asking. We have fair guidelines for reimbursement, considering that when you are late or do not attend (No-show), you are taking someone's spot and expecting us to replace another paying spot in future hurts us financially.
Before purchase, please review the following terms, different activities at Tension have different cancellation timelines depending on their scale and preparation requirements.
Classes, Events, Rentals (1–3 hours), and Parties $100 or less
Cancellations depend on how far in advance we are notified.

Tickets may be converted into full credit for the original ticket value by paying a $10 administrative rescheduling fee per ticket.
- Example: $40 fundamentals ticket can be converted into $40 credit by paying a $10 administrative rescheduling fee per ticket.
Less than 6 hours before the event or no-show
- No refund.
- No credit.
- Transfers to another attendee or waitlist if applicable: Permitted with prior approval.
Longer afternoon & weekend Workshops , Rentals (4+ hours) over $100
These activities require more planning and reserved spots.

7 days or more before the event

Extended Rentals (12+ hours or Multi-Day)
Extended rentals are treated as contracted bookings due to the scale and scheduling involved.

Cancellations 30+ days before the rental
- Eligible for a refund of the deposit, or as otherwise negotiated.
Cancellations less than 30 days before the rental
- Subject to the specific terms agreed upon at the time of booking.
Rental agreements may alter or include additional cancellation terms that override the standard event policy.
Memberships
- Membership fees are non-refundable.
- Monthly memberships may be cancelled anytime, which stops future billing but does not retroactively refund previous payments.
- For concerns about your membership, please contact us to discuss available options.
Private Sessions
- Refunds follow the timelines outlined for classes and events.
- Deposits required to secure bookings: Non-refundable if canceled less than 7 days in advance, though credit may be applied under certain conditions.
Special Circumstances
- If TensionMTL cancels an event, class, or session, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
- Refund exceptions for emergencies are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

- Refunds may take 5–10 business days to process.
Store Purchases and Orders
Return Policy
- You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Items must be:
- In their original condition (unworn, unused, with tags, and in original packaging).
- Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Initiate a Return

- Approved returns will receive a return shipping label and instructions.
- Items sent without prior approval will not be accepted.
Damages and Issues
- Inspect your order upon receipt.
- Contact us immediately for defective, damaged, or incorrect items to resolve the issue promptly.
Non-Returnable Items
- Custom products (e.g., personalized or special orders).
- Sale items and gift cards.
Exchanges
- Return the original item as outlined above.
- Once accepted, place a separate purchase for the desired replacement.
Refunds for Store Purchases
- Once we inspect your return, you will be notified of approval or rejection.
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method.
- Bank/credit card processing times may delay visible refunds.
Conditions of Return
- Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- Items not returned in their original condition may incur a reduction in refund value.
