"The elegance of ropes, the power of connection."

Between Strength and Delicacy

Masha is a shibari practitioner whose approach combines elegance and connection. With a fluid style, she prioritizes the exchange of energy between partners, seeking to create a space of trust and exploration. She has been tying regularly since 2017 and, although her technical expertise is well recognized, she continues to deepen her knowledge by exploring new approaches and influences. In addition to teaching, she also offers private performances, creating unique experiences that blend aesthetics, complicity, and intensity.

More than just a discipline, shibari became a language for her—a deep and instinctive means of communication. This journey led her to cross paths with Will and later to contribute to the founding of Tension.

A Commitment at the Heart of Tension

As a co-founder of Tension 2.0, Masha plays a key role in the development of the school. As a teacher, model, and communications manager alongside Will. Her primary goal is for Tension to be a space for dialogue and learning, where everyone can express themselves freely, set their boundaries, and cultivate the confidence needed to grow in their practice.

Convinced that ropes are merely a tool, Masha emphasizes the importance of communication and consent. For her, the true essence of shibari lies in the ability to listen, negotiate, and build an authentic exchange. She hopes that everyone who walks through Tension’s doors leaves not only with technical skills but also with a deeper understanding of their own needs and relationships with others.

Philosophy and Transmission

Masha sees shibari as a silent conversation, a dialogue between bodies and minds. Through her teaching, she seeks to encourage authenticity and exploration while providing a structured environment where safety and respect remain paramount. Her approach is based on transmitting precise knowledge while allowing room for intuition and adaptation to each unique dynamic between partners.

She particularly emphasizes the importance, especially for women and marginalized individuals, of feeling legitimate in setting their boundaries and expressing their needs without fear.

"Saying no is a strength. Respecting yourself and being respected is essential, and it is something that can be learned."

Creations and Projects

Beyond her educational role, Masha is constantly exploring new ways to express her vision of shibari. Whether through performances, artistic collaborations, or educational projects, she seeks to push the boundaries of this discipline while remaining true to its essence.

Her work is inspired by encounters, emotions, and the constant need to reinvent her connection to ropes and those who share them with her.

A Style, A Signature

Masha’s style has often been described as

"A subtle dance between strength and delicacy."

Through every session and every lesson, she seeks to weave more than just ropes: connections, experiences, and spaces where everyone can grow at their own pace
